Spanish
This is a one-semester class taught by Erik Martin. We worked on packets teaching different aspects of the language in addition to working on Rosetta Stone units.
For out third quarter project, we broke up into groups and researched a period of Mexican history. My group studied the Mexican Revolution. We gave a presentation on our topic, and designed a mural on our topic in the style of the Mexican muralists of the mid-1900s. The best mural in the class, which was created by the group studying the overthrow of the Aztec empire by Cortés, will be painted on the wall in the coming year.
For our fourth-quarter project, we again broke into groups, this time to design and create a bilingual children's book. I helped to create the story line and drew all of the illustrations for my book. It is about a sad mama kangaroo who lives in a zoo. She and her daughter escape, and have adventures in the wilderness.
